Original Early Kentucky Rifle
Barrel is marked "P Hess" for Philip Hess (b. 1766) from Lehigh County Pennsylvania (Arms Makers of Pennsylvania by James B. Whisker pages 104 - 105).
Matching Set
Sets are rarely
found and these are from Bandon, Vermont. These
two horns came together as a set and measure approximately 13 and 8 inches in length.
Original Colt Model 1873 Single Action Army/Cavalry Indian Wars Revolver Dated 1887.
Caliber .45 with 7 & 1/2 inch barrel. Serial number 121111. This is a superior Colt Single Action Revolver and probably used very little.
56 - 50 caliber with a 7 shot magazine. Includes saddle ring. About forty percent of the case hardening remains and the rest is fading. Condition overall is excellent.

Schuetzen Target Rifle
This gun would make a fine shooter. Complete Schuetzen muzzle loading rifles are rare. This is undoubtedly American made and comes with the original false muzzle. Barrel reads New York Cast Steel which is probably a Remington. All mechanical functions are excell

Civil War Sharps Carbine New Model 1863 Conversion 50/70
New model 1859/63/65. Originally percussion - arsenal converted to .50/70 centerfire cartridge.
Civil War Palmer Bolt Action Carbine
50 caliber rimfire single shot. Overall conditon is better than excellent. No rust.
Inspector's marks are clearly visible on both stock and barrel. Some case
hardening is visible on the lock and the remainder is brown.

Civil War Sharps & Hankins Model 1862 Navy Carbine
52 caliber rimfire with leather covered barrel in very good mechanical condition.
Serial number 4597 indicates early production.
This seldom encountered scabbard was designed to be mounted on the Model 1876 experimental cartridge belt. The leather frog is marked Watervliet Arsenal.
Original US Civil War Militia NCO Knight's Head Sword
Widely purchased by
many state militia units and used in the Civil War. The blade is marked Baker &
McKenney NY and they had government contracts during the Civil War. Etching on the
blade is in very good condition with a few minor blemishes. No nicks or chips.
Tip is not broken. Grip is undamaged. Sword is in very good condition overall.
No nicks or chips in the blade but minor rust spots are found. Leather on grip is present but wire wrap is not. Overall a very good representative piece which will display well.
Original Civil War Knapsack
New and unused condition but it is fragile. Having been made of treated canvas it has survived well over time. Leather is soft and supple. Marked by Inspector R. Valentine.

Monkey's fists were commonly used as melee weapons by sailors embroiled in street and tavern fights during the 1800s. The use of the monkey's fist as a slungshot became common in the street gang subcultures of the 1800s.

Civil War Telegram Marking Map by L Prang & Co. 1862. This is an ultra rare item. To find at all in any
condition is unusual. Other originals can be found at the Library of Congress in
Washington D.C. and the Harvard Map Collection in Cambridge, MA.
Nine inches long. Made by Lamson Goodnow Mfg. Co. S. Falls Works. Good Condition.

Original Indian Wars Cavalry Carbine Boot in excellent to unused condition marked Rock Island Arsenal. Stitching is completely intact. Leather is stiff from never being used or treated. Boot has retained its correct shape - not flattened. Some minor flaking. Inspector's initials are WTG. Brass throat plate is fully intact and also holds its shape. Rare item in this condition.

Canteen strap is mint and marked "R.I.A.1004". Canteen cover is soiled but not damaged and there is no open stitching. It is marked U.S. E 22 on the front. Mark on the back of the canteen cover appears to possibly be crossed sabers. Canteen is complete with chain and slightly damaged stopper.

stand a good oiling. The sling is quite usable. The buckle strap has been

Military possessions of Sumner Sewall in this group include two trunks having belonged to this distinguished American along with a few personal effects and copies of transcribed letters written to his mother during his service in WWI.

PFC Charles Monroe Taylor, a foot soldier of the US Army from Enid Oklahoma, landed on Utah Beach during the invasion at Normandy. His unit followed behind Patton throughout France and into Germany until the end of the war. At some point an abandoned German convoy was discovered. Apparently it had been disabled by an air attack. It is from one of the supply trucks in the convoy that PFC Taylor liberated these two flags and brought them home.
