Schuetzen Target Rifle Remington Barrel
Overall length is 50 inches. The total length of the barrel including the false muzzle is 33.5 inches. The rear tang sight is original to the gun. Front sight is a replacement but is correct for this type of rifle. It is adjustable for windage. Barrel reads New York Cast Steel which is probably a Remington barrel. The gun is all German silver mounted. Nipple is a replacement. Hammer is a replacement. The double set triggers are adjustable. Burled walnut stock was cracked at the wrist but was expertly repaired and re-checkered. This gun would make a fine shooter. Complete Schuetzen muzzle loading rifles are rare. This is undoubtedly American made and comes with the original false muzzle. Wooden ramrod has original worm and is probably original to the gun. One ramrod ferrell has become unsoddered but is still there. All mechanical functions are excellent. An empty dovetail is in the center of the barrel. No other markings appear except the barrel marking.
