Long Loop Scabbard 45 / 70 Model 1876

This seldom encountered scabbard was designed to be mounted on the Model 1876 experimental cartridge belt.  The leather frog is marked Watervliet Arsenal.  All stitching is intact and leather is not cracked, rotted or torn.   Overall length of the loop is 5.25 inches.  There are no dents in the metal and overall this rare scabbard is in very good condition.
