52 caliber rimfire with leather covered barrel in very good mechanical condition.   Original finish has turned silver-gray.  All screw heads are fine.   Leather is all intact except where shown in photos.  Bore is strong.   Barrel and receiver share matching numbers.  Serial number 4597 indicates early production.  Wood has usual dings but no breaks or cracks.

Original Civil War Ball Repeating Carbine

56 - 50 caliber with a 7 shot magazine.  Includes saddle ring.  About forty percent of the case hardening remains and the rest is fading.  Barrel retains bluing slightly turning to brown.  Some bluing is on bands.  Screw heads are not damaged.  Wood has minor dents.  Condition overall is excellent.  Very good bore and excellent function.

Schuetzen Target Rifle

This gun would make a fine shooter.  Complete Schuetzen muzzle loading rifles are rare.  This is undoubtedly American made and comes with the original false muzzle.  Barrel reads New York Cast Steel which is probably a Remington.  All mechanical functions are excellent.

Original Civil War Model 1849 Colt Pocket Revolver

6"Octagonal Barrel 6 Shot manufactured in 1863.  SN #264181.  All original and serial number parts match.  Grips have small chips as shown in photos.  Most screw heads are in good condition.  Cylinder engraving is complete and visible.   Gun is not pitted and all markings are clear as are all numbers.  Trigger spring is broken or missing as is hand spring. Good representative piece worthy of restoration and reasonably priced.

Very Rare Original Civil War Filter Canteen by Charles Bartholomae, NY

Patented July 9, 1861 and so marked.  Cloth covering is gone and only part of the original leather sling remains.  All caps and chains are present.  No filters.  All seams are intact.   No rust.  One very small dent shown on front.  Brass patent date applied plate is in perfect condition.  This is a very rare canteen and seldom seen in such fine condition.  This canteen has not been cleaned and is in "as found" condition.

Original Model 1832 Artillery Short Sword and Scabbard.

The sword is manufactured by Ames and dated 1842.  Inspected by JCB.  Crossguard marked W.A.T.  One very tiny nick is found in the blade.  Leather and brass scabbard is an excellent older reproduction.

Original US Civil War Militia NCO Knight's Head Sword

Widely purchased by many state militia units and used in the Civil War.  The blade is marked Baker & McKenney NY and they had government contracts during the Civil War.  Overall length is 32.5 inches and the blade measures 25.5 inches.  Etching on the blade is in very good condition with a few minor blemishes.  No nicks or chips.  Tip is not broken.  Grip is undamaged.  Sword is in very good condition overall.

Original U.S. Civil War Model 1860 Navy Cutlass made by Ames.

Blade is marked D.R. beneath U.S.N. and is also found on the cap of the basket.  Daniel Reynolds, USN was a navy inspector in 1863.   No nicks or chips in the blade but minor rust spots are found.  The basket is marked 16M 308.  Leather on grip is present but wire wrap is not.  Overall a very good representative piece which will display well.

Spanish American War U.S. Navy Quarter Pike bb.jpg (286797 bytes)

Original Spanish American War U.S. Navy Quarter Pike was used for repelling boarders.  Also called a boarding pike, it measures 57.25 inches overall.   The four sided spear point is 9.75 inches in length.  The socket base is 5.25 inches long.  It was the last pike issued by the U.S. Navy.  Few minor handling and storage scratches do not detract from its excellent condition.

Original Model 1912 Experimental Cavalry Saddle Enlisted Man's Service Saddle

This saddle was most likely made at Rock Island Arsenal and could easily be restored to useable condition.   The leather is quite soft with minimal crazing and no rot.  Girth straps are broken.  The seat has a few open stitches as shown in photo.  Otherwise the overall condition is very good.

Original German Flags fromWorld War II

PFC Charles Monroe Taylor, a foot soldier of the US Army from Enid Oklahoma, landed on Utah Beach during the invasion at Normandy.  His unit followed behind Patton throughout France and into Germany until the end of the war.   At some point an abandoned German convoy was discovered.  Apparently it had been disabled by an air attack.  It is from one of the supply trucks in the convoy that PFC Taylor liberated these two flags and brought them home.

Matchlock Musket

New Authentic Reproduction .cal 735.  This common style matchlock was used from the 16th century up through the mid 17th and during the English Civil Wars.  Appropriate for portrayals in Early American settlements such as Jamestown.  Also suitable for the Samuel de Champlain era.  Precision craftsmanship, excellent workmanship and fully functional.   Smooth bore with full length wooden ramrod. Matchlock measures 57 inches overall and the barrel length is 42.

New Authentic Reproduction leather hand made shoes by master shoemaker Dan Freeman of Middlebury, Vermont.  Copied and crafted using photographs of the original period shoes.  This style shoe was typically worn by musketeers, pikemen and cavaliers.   They were worn extensively by armies throughout Europe during the 1600s and evidence of these shoes were found at Jamestown.
